Today's song is Broken Social Scene - Sweetest Kill. This song comes off their 2010 release Forgiveness Rock Record. This is the first album they have released in 5 years (aside from the band member's many side projects. If you are a broken social scene fan you will undoubtedly enjoy this release. The overall feel of the album is moving on to a new more mature band and music. Other honorable mentions from the album are the opener World Sick & Forced to Love. For new broken social scene listeners, definitely check out their 2005 self titled release, I appreciate their newer songs more having heard their earlier albums.
Today's song is a remix of Miike Snow - Animal. This song comes off the 2009 self titled album which is a strong collaboration of ear friendly light electro-pop. The album has inspired many of today's top artists tp remix and put their own flavor on the already strong release. This is one of my favorite remixes but be sure there are many other noteworthy artists (Pete Bjorn & John, Mark Ronson to name a couple) remixing the rest of the album.
